Italian Association of Tissue Banks
Tissue Banks are non-profit structures in which activities are carried out for processing, storage and distribution of human tissues used for clinical transplants.

For a long time, the tissue bank managers felt the need to create an association able to represent banks that stock different tissues. In May 2016 they decided to set up the Italian Association of Tissue Banks (A.I.BA.T.) a scientific and cultural association which deals with the subject of
tissue banking.

A.I.BA.T. wants to promote scientific updating, encourage maximum interaction among the associates through the development of common research and clinical projects, aimed at improving the quality of homologous tissues and broadening their clinical applications.

A.I.BA.T. proposes itself as a reference scientific company for the sector operators. The objectives are pursued in collaboration with institutions and national and international scientific associations

A.I.BA.T. is a no-profit organization that aims to contribute to the diffusion and improvement of the quality of tissues for transplantation. A.I.BA.T. also aims to improve the scientific progress through the development of tissue banking.
